Type of Project: 25,000 sq ft indoor baseball/softball training facility in Orange County, CA. This batting cage facility consisted of a unique pre-engineered wood floor decking that was made and drop-shipped from Oklahoma to the jobsite. The build-out on the decking took 8-10 days to install and complete instead of using a traditional carpentry service that would take longer and be more costly to our consumer. Once the 150’Lx30’W flat- flooring was completed AIS installed 8 ATEC Casey Pro Combo machines that can be used for baseball and softball at variable speeds. The width of each cage is 20’. AIS also completed the other training part of the large indoor facility. Behind the ATEC pitching machine cages, are 4 batting cages that can be converted to 6 hitting stations or a speed and agility space, complete with turf and custom netting provided and installed by AIS. This can be used for camps or clinics.

The best thing I did for my training facility was contact American Iron Sports. I sensed immediately that they shared the same passion as I did for creating my dream come true baseball and softball training facility. I gave them my ideas and concepts and they offered advice and innovative ideas to create a top notch state of the art facility. AIS was professional, efficient and hard working. Type of Project: Indoor multi functional batting cage. It can be used as 3 individual cages 13ft wide X 12ft tall X 70ft long, then it can be converted into an indoor (small-scale field area) where the team can do sprints, stretches, take infield, catchers work on blocking drills and throw-downs. It can also be converted into a 5-section hitting station, with 4 cages 13ft wide X 12ft tall X 35ft long for hitting drills, and then leaving 1 full size cage for live pitching. This system is all cable.

I was very pleased with the work performed by American Iron Sports. They installed a first-class facility in a timely manner and were very professional in their work. They were able to make several on-the-job adjustments due to building specifics and did not miss a beat. We’ve had several visiting coaches say this is the best job they’ve ever seen. The facility is incredible! I have three college level coaches that have used the barn for practices and lessons and say that it rivals any division I facility they have seen.
